FIFA 13 has been given a release date by Electronic Arts.



FIFA 13 has been given a release date by Electronic Arts. 

The latest in the yearly football franchise will be available on September 28 across Europe.

Also announced was the Ultimate Team edition, which will only be available on the first day of release, or for those who pre-order the title.

It will contain 24 FIFA Ultimate Team Gold Packs (worth £15), each featuring 12 items, including 75+-rated players, contracts, stadiums, managers, staff, fitness, healing, balls, kits and badges. 

Rare items will also be included, such as extended contracts, better players or enhanced attributes.

Also announced were pre-order incentives for Amazon and GAME customers.

Pre-ordering the title from Amazon will net players 10,000 EA SPORTS Football Club Credits, which can be redeemed against in-game items, such as attributes, head-to-head matches and celebrations.

GAME customers, meanwhile, will receive the adidas All-Star Team, featuring players such as Lionel Messi, Nani and Karim Benzema.

The squad features special adidas kits, which can be used in Online Pro Clubs.

This year's FIFA will introduce connectivity between smartphones, tablets and consoles.

Announced at the E3 Gaming Expo, the console version will connect to smartphone and tablet counterparts, allowing players to carry over experience.

A new smartphone app will also launch, adding in-game auctions for Ultimate Teams and career tracking.

Kinect functionality, meanwhile, was announced by Microsoft.

Players will be able to use voice commands to make substitutions, change tactics and give the referee a dressing down.

FIFA 13 will be available on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii, 3DS, Vita, PS2, iPhone and iPad.
